For anybody researching Hannah Guizbard please also research the spellings Gisebert and Giespert which of course in its maiden form is Giespertin. Thank you so much John for her birthdate!

Jonathan's mother probably was Margaret Kones/Kuntz and father was probably Peter Hertzog. Peter's first wife was (Anna) Margritha Schmidten m. 1722. Right? Because there is no conclusive proof we are leaving open the possibility that Jonathan may have been s/o Peter II born before 1732.

Also in Frederick co., Md were probably two of emigrant Peter's older boys William and John. (They took the oath of fidelity and John appears on the 1790 census) They were old enough to be Jonathan's father.

And of course we have emigrant Peter's brother, Henrick Wilhelm, in Frederick in 1748-1750. We have the lawsuit to prove that. What a fine kittle of fish. I'm flying to Maryland tomorrow to do some research. Don't really expect to find anything as so many researchers have gone before me. Maybe will also stop at Hanover and Harrisburg libraries.
