Hi Rick, I have that Charity Hartsock was born around 1774 and is the daughter of Jonathan and Hannah (Guizebard) Hartsock/Hartsough. She married Jacob Harpster who was born around 20 Jun 1769 and died on 26 Sep 1853, and is buried at Reedsburg, Wayne County, Ohio. I have that they had ten children but only know of Isaac. Would appreciate any information you might have on their descendants. Charity is my 1st cousin, 5 generations removed. Her father Jonathan was born around 1753 in Woodsboro, Frederick County, Maryland, and died before 11 Mar 1817 (when his will was probated) in Bloom Township, Fairfield County, Ohio. Hannah Guizebard Hartsock was born 14 Nov 1758 and died 20 Jul 1842, in Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio. We visited her grave a few years ago in the Scipio Township Cemetery on Township Road 106 in Seneca County. I have a picture of her tombstone if you would like a copy. Hannah and Jonathan had 14 children that I know of, most if not all of whom moved to south central Ohio from Maryland in the early 1800s. Jonathan's mother and father were Peter and Anna Margaretha (Kuntze) Hertzog. Their son and Jonathan's brother, Nicholas is my 4th great grandfather, which makes Jonathan my 5th great uncle. Peter's father and mother were Engelbert and Anna Catherine Hertzog. Anna Margaretha's father and mother were Nicholas and Catherine Margaretha (Weber) Kuntze. I have more information on the family, Send me an email and I will send to you. Please provide me as much information as you can on the Harpsters. Thanks and please keep in touch.
