I am seeking information about the parents of Fanny Jane Hardsock. On August 24, 1833, Fanny married John Cobb in Harrison County, Ohio. The 1850 census of Lee Township, Carroll County, Ohio has Fanny Cobb, born 1814 in Pennsylvania, and her children, but no John Cobb. The children are William, born in 1834 (my wife's ancestor), Sarah, born in 1838, Abraham, born in 1839, John D., born in 1842, and George, born in 1846.
Fanny died on March 16, 1888 and is buried in the Harlem Springs Cemetery in Carroll County. Cemetery records indicate her birth as April 18, 1811 and describe her as the wife of John Cobb.
I guess that Fanny's father was Daniel Hardsock, who moved from Pennsylvania to Harrison County, although I have not seen anything to support that opinion.
