In rhe 1870 Scott County, Virginia Census both of them are 19 years old. Elisha is listed as farm labor. They have living with them: John W. Dean age 12. He is listed as a domestic. I believe he is Elizabeth's brother. If not, they are related somehow because in the 1860 Census,Elizabeth and John W. are both living with Mary Dean 'Spinster'.
After 1870, I cannot find them. I do find an Elizabeth, age 30, wife of G.L. Hartsock and wonder if it is the same couple. L for Lige or such. Elizabeth is such a common name, however, I cannot be sure.
John W. Deanhas married and has his own family.
Does anyone know anything about these people? Believe it or not, Elizabeth would be my great aunt! John W. Dean was my grandfather. I am trying to track down more inforamtion on them. Any help appreciated.
