Mary Mae Hartsough writes that Pieter and Margritha either had a son or grandson Johnathan. He and his family can be found on the 1790 census in Huntington Cty, PA. Or we assume this is him because other descendants of Pieter's live in the vicinity. There are three and maybe four Johannes mentioned in Frederick Cty, MD. #1 WMG, (July 1988) 4:112 gives the baptism of Johannes Hertzog, age 18y 2m on May 27, 1770 at Glade Reformed Church at Walkersville, MD. #2 There was a Johannes and Eva Catharina (Beard-Barth) Herzog m. after 1779 with the following children:Solomon b. 1780 , Daniel b. 1784 and Johannes b. 1787. #3 There is a Johannes and (Anna) Margritha (Simon) with children: Jacob b. 1786, Catharina b. 1788 and Margaretha b. 1794. Can anyone give me the parents of these three Johannes? #4 The Jonathan born April 19 1768 we know is the child of Peter and Sarah Hartzog.
