“Fulda - A pretty fall wedding took place in St. Gabriel’s Catholic church, Tuesday morning at nine o’clock, when Miss Irene M. Brady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brady became the bride of Herman L. Haberman, of Heron Lake. Rev. Fr. Meyer of St. Gabriel’s church performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Agnes Brady, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of peach color chiffon, made sleeveless with a wide collar in cape effect, the skirt was flared and made floor length. Her hat and accessories were to match and she carried an arm bouquet of carnations. The groom was attended by his brother, Joe Haberman, of Heron Lake. Little Irene Viers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Viers, who was named for the bride, acted as flower girl. She wore a ruffled flock of robin’s eggs blue flat crepe and carried a basket of autumn flowers. Bobbie Hoffman, whose mother, Mrs. Nick Hoffman, of Mankato, is a cousin of the bride, acted as ring bearer. He wore a tan Tom Sawyer suit. The bride’s gown was of ivory satin made on princess lines with a train which she carried by a satinloop over the arm. Her veil was cap shaped and held in place with a wreath of range blossoms. She wore a necklace of crystals and white and green gold, which was a gift of the groom. Her flowers were a shower bouquet of white roses. Following the ceremony a three course wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Haberman left immediately after noon, on a two weeks’ motor trip to points in Iowa and Wisconsin. They will be at home after their return on the farm 2 ˝ miles east of Kinbrae, where a new house has been built and is awaiting the bride. The bride has been an efficient and popular rural teacher and has a wide circle of friends, the groom is not so well known here, but those who have met him speak in complimentary terms of him and many friends join in wishing them a life of happiness and prosperity. Out of town guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aurit and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Hoffman and son, Bobbie, of Mankato, of Kinbrae, Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Haberman and son, Joe, of Heron Lake.” (THERE IS A DATE OF 10/8/1981 ON THE TOP OF THIS PAPER. NO NAME OF PAPER, CAME FROM A SCRAPBOOK)
