Ferdinand, John & August Haberman - what's the connection?

John Haberman of Albertville, MN mailed two copies of Ferdinand’s funeral card containing the text: (born) 30 Jul 1838, Petersdorf, Währen, Oesterreich. (died) 23 Aug 1920, St Michael, MN to my GG-grandfather Augustus Haberman who lived just outside of Ellensburg, WA. (August was born October 1854 in Austria, came to the US in 1873, ended up in Ellensburg by 1883 and died there April 1935.)

I have a fair amount of information about August Haberman, his wife Anna Linder/Linzer (I’ve seen many spellings for her surname – apparently she was an orphan who came to the US as a servant). I have a bit of information about August’s sister Frances who married Michael Rollinger of Luxembourg (they were in Ellensburg before August was).

Some family stories mention that August had some kind of disagreement or hard feelings with his father Frank, perhaps in regards to Frank’s second wife Murial. Family stories also mention a time when August received an envelope from Germany or Austria that he burned without reading. Family stories also say that Frank came to America possibly more than once and likely died here, possibly even in Ellensburg (Frank’s second wife Murial is buried in Ellensburg, although the grave is lost).

Lots of mysteries here – any help from another Haberman researcher?
