I have been looking over the baptism records of my great grandfather and some of his siblings. Here is what they appear to say to me, noting that I can't read German, and don't know the geography or customs, and am pretty unfamiliar with German names. Anna Magdalena Haack: 1) {frau?} Wibke Margaretha Meier of Bruhnsdorf 2) Catharina Margaretha Harder 3) Johann Hinrich Harder of Reinsbuttel Wilhelmine Catharina Haack: 1) Hinrich Meier of Bruhnsdorf 2) {frau?} Wilhelmine Dorothea Haack of Busum 3) {frau?} Wiebke Catharina von Bargen of Busum Margarathe Christine Haack: 1) {frau?} Martha Margaretha Haack of Lunden 2) {frau?} Christine Margaretha Kebara Hoffmann of Bruhnsdorf 3) Hinrich Hoffmann of Bruhnsdorf Reimer Jacob Nicolaus Haack: 1) Johann Jacob Hanssen of Wall 2) Reimer Nicolaus Mohr of Wall 3) Hans NIcolaus Dreessen of Reinsbuttel Johann Christian Haack: 1) Johann Nicolaus Haack of Busum 2) Claus Johann von Bergen of Busum 3) Franz Thede of Amerika Claudius Haack: 1) Wilhelm Kortum of Wall 2) Friedrich Muhling of Wall 3) Doris Peters of Wall Wilhelm Haack: 1) Carl Schoof of Wellinghusen 2) Theodor Meier of Bussel 3) {frau?} Wiebke Mohr of Wall Heinrich Haack: 1) Georg Huesmann of Friedrichsgabekoog 2) Hinrich Kahlike {of Friedrichsgabekoog?} 3) {frau?} Margaretha Hanssen of Wall Bruhnsdorf is a very small place, probably not on most maps, but it is near Wohrden, which is near Heide. The other towns mentioned are nearby also. Reinsbuttel is just west and north of Wohrden, whereas Busum is west of Wohrden, either on the coast or very near it. Lunden is a bit further north, but not too far. Wellinghusen and Friedrichsgabekoog are both between Heide and Busum. I don't know where Wall and Bussel are. These were the children of George Jacob Haack and Wiebke Dorothea Harder, so those connections are somewhat known. I would like to know how the familes of Meier, von Bargen (or maybe it is van Barger or van Bergen), Hoffmann. Hanssen, Mohr, Dreessen, Thede, Kortum, Muhling, Peters, Schoof, Huesmann, and Kahlike (or Kohlike) families fit in. Any information would be good. Cheers, Gregg Notify Administrator about this message?
