Seeking background information on Joseph Graham, born around 1815 in Ohio, and his wife Elizabeth, born about 1812 in Kentucky. Their known children are Caroline, born around 1843 in Kentucky, William Henry, born about 1845 in Kentucky, and Susan, born around 1853 in Iowa. They were in Marshall County, Iowa in the 1850 census. By the 1870 census they were in Madison Township, Mahaska County, Iowa, with only Susan at home. By this time William Henry had married Sarah Farr, but he was tragically murdered in early 1870 and therefore wasn't in the census. Sarah Farr had 3 kids with the last name of Graham at the time of the census, and they were living in a house right next to Joseph and Elizabeth. It appears that the murderers were Sarah Farr's brothers, George Washington Farr and Andrew Jackson Farr. I'm researching the actual murder incident, so would like to find out some information on the victim.
