Hi, seeking info on the below Grahams and Stewarts.

1) Thomas Stewart (b 1669 Ire) m Margaret Graham (b 1673 Ire)
.......2) John Stewart (1700 Ire) m Catherine Jane Graham
............3) Thomas (b 1725 d 1806 Charleston SC)
............3) Jane (b 1743)
............3) Margaret (b 1744)
............3) John (b 1747)**
............3) James (b 1750)
............3) Mary (b 1752)
............3) Robert (b 1754 d 1820 Charleston SC))
............3) Catherine (b 1742, d NJ) m James Potter

Data via rootsweb.com, indicates all children were born in Ireland (1725-1754). So I'm wondering when these Stewarts and Grahams came to America, and if the Grahams were associated with the Stewarts in Georgetown and Old 96 SC.

1778 & 1780 Georgetown:
-David Graham
-George Graham
-John Sen Graham

1779 Old 96 SC
-Hugh Graham
-James Graham
-Adam Potter

There are Stewarts in Georgetown as early as 1737:
-Hugh Stewart m Magdelene Swinton
-James Stewart
-Robert Stewart

Also I did note a Stewart & Potter (maybe business?) listed on 1790 Charleston SC census.

Data from Ancestry.com

I'm trying to locate my Stewarts in SC ie **John Stewart (b abt 1748); by 1789/90 they were in Chatham and Effingham Cos GA, later some went into AL and MS. Could there be a relation with these Grahams?

Many thanks, Lynda
