Hi Terry, Good to hear from you again! This is interesting - if confusing. I have two birthplaces for William Hendrick, neither especially reliable. His obit says he was born in Greenville KY. The only current place in KY called Greenville is in Muhlenberg County, considerably east of Green County. In the little booklet I have called Manton Yesteryears! the unnamed informant (probably W.H.'s grandson Henry "Hank" Graham) says he was born in Louisville. However, this little article has a number of other errors in it, such as giving his middle name as Henry. The original Homestead records clearly state his full name as William Hendrick Graham. I've just gotten back to working on the Grahams after spending several years on other lines, so this is timely! I don't remember what information I sent you before. I have: All of the census records from 1860 on. His obit. The photos of William and Sophronia which I think you sent me; copies of the Homestead file; photos of his and Sophronia's gravestones; William's signature [I try to collect for each person: signature, photo, and grave marker photo. The article about the Grahams from Manton Yesteryears [I think you said you have that book?; a copy of the will and probate records for Sophronia's father in which she is named as an heir; and a record of his marriage to Sophronia in Jan 1879. What led you to Green County? I see that there is a William age 19 living with William age 27 head of a family which includes Cassander age 71 and Nancy age 40 (William's mother?) plus three other children named Eliza, Martha and Robert. I thought this family looked promising. I think our William came to Oroville around 1852. (I see you have a new e-mail from the one I had. Mine is the same: llouchard AT hotmail.com) Best wishes-- Lorrell Notify Administrator about this message?
