Byron Wesley Goodson is my 2nd cousin once removed. His parents were John Wesley Goodson and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Tisdale. Byron was born Nov. 10, 1893 in Miller County, Arkansas and died Feb 21, 1972 in DeQueen, AR. He is buried in Redmond Cemetery. He was Superintendent of Schools in DeQueen. He was married to Mae Burgess. They had two adopted children, Betty Ann and Jim.

Byron had two brothers:
Atticus Haygood Goodson, b. 4/12/1896, d. 2/25/1983
Otis C. Goodson, b. 8/24/1898, d. 1/27/1987
