I found a Reuben Goodson enumerated with his parents on the 1900 and 1910 NC census records. The 1900 census says this Reuben was born on May 1898. On the death certificate entry above it says Reuben's father was Dec Jim. Wondering "if" the Dec is for Deacon Jim (James)? The Reuben Goodson who was born in May 1898 had a father named James and they were in Haywood County, NC in 1900. After you get the lookups for the Ancestry.com entries done, let me know what his date of birth was on the WWI Draft Registration Card.
