You wish me good luck - believe me I need it as I am having difficulty with Sylvester Aaron GABLE and Mary M. ROBISON.
As I have stated:
Mary M. ROBISON born Iowa 1843 to Milo Fisher ROBISON and Margaret Maria KIRK ROBISON, both born Ohio.
I have not been able to locate a death record for Mary, but believe she died prior to 1900 in CA.
1860 CA census, Napa, Napa Co. lists
A. GABLE, age 23, male, born OH
Mary M. GABLE, age 17, female, b. IA
Harvey C. GABLE, age 24, born OH
All ages agree with birth years and as Sylvester Aaron Gable had a bro. Harvey, it would seem to me that this is the subject Aaron.
They had a dau., Jennie Rosa/Rosa J. Gable born Oct. 1860, too late to be included in census. She married John ISH. Rosa J. Ish died 12/21/1922 in Napa Co. I am endeavoring to obtain a death record and obit from Napa to see if there is any information regarding her parentage. Hopefully there will be.
I have also posted to the Genforum ISH message board in the hope that someone there can provide information.
I find several ISH names listed in telephone directories in CA and will try to reach some individuals - maybe a connection.
