I just looked at Footnote.com for records on Jacob Gabbert in the Rev. War. There only seems to be one and he was born in 1760. It seems he was wounded and lost some time of service and had to re-apply for his pension. I believe that was in 1834 or 1835. Doesn't sound as though this is your Jacob but didn't see another.
