1. I'm not questioning the Bible at all. Just that we need to check an prove information even if it comes from Bibles. We know census have been wrong with name spelling, dates and ages at times.

2. My Uncle and what I have a combined years of approximately 40 and I still cann't say all we put together is all factual. I to have used the internet and other researchers for help. I have met many cousins and other family members that I didn't know was out there. It has been a real learning curve. They have been able to correct mistakes that both my Uncle and I had in our research. That has been very important.

3. As for Thomas Fitts and Alice Fitts I only find them on one Document and that is The Living and Dead List of 16 February 1623/4. The list given as musters for ships concerning Robert, Thomas,Alice and Anna have not been proven from what I know. You said, "But they were listed on several documents together". The only name that show in Quarter Court records is Robert and Ann. Thomas Fitts and Alice Fitts names don't appear in Quarter Court records that I have found so far. There is a Thomas Fitts involved in the Slave uprising in the 1700s in NC and I haven't found if he is connected to Thomas or Alice in any way or maybe Robert and Anna.

4. Did you know this from the Lower Norfolk Co. VA Records, VA Colonial Abstracts Lower Norfolk Co. 1641-1654, V.3:

Court 1/16/1653-4, p. 83, Robte Fitts acks judgt to Francis Emperor to paymt of 745 lb tobocca (this may be Robert Fitts of 1624.???)

Court 3/22/1653-4, letters of admr to Francis Emperor, gent, on est of Robt Fitts, deceased, as greatest creditor

Court Records 15 Aug 1653 Tho Sayer, late guardian to Robte FITTS who is now of age, ordered to deliver him his estate (This maybe Robert Fitts Jr.son of Robert and Ann???)

Hope others will join in this conversation. Right now Robert Fitts in MA and I are hoping that others will join us in checking DNA of the Northern and Southern branches of the Fitts Family.

Keep smiling,
