"Margaret Fisk, 87, of Mountain Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1993, at Good Samaritan Village, Mountain Lake.

Born March 5, 1906, in Butterfield, she was the daughter of Henry and Helena Thiesen Duerksen. She married Charles Fisk Sept. 30, 1932, in Mountain Lake.

She attended country school near Butterfield before working as a chambermaid with the Lincoln Hotel, St. James. After marriage, they lived on his parents farm near Comfrey before moving to Renville. They returned to Mountain Lake one year later and farmed on the west edge of town. In 1973, they moved to a new home just east of the farm until entering the Eventide Nursing Home in May, 1991. She was a resident of Good Samaritan Village since June 1993. She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, Mountain Lake.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Lois Burnham, Kent, Wash., Mrs. Loris (John) Strenge, St. James, and Mrs. Connie (Duane) Peters, Dleavan, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at Eifert Funeral Home, Mountain Lake, and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bethel Mennonite Church, Mountain Lake.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bethel Mennonite Church, Mountain Lake, with the Rev. Jeff Minor officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery."
