Hello Bill.

I think you may be refering to the Fauver Hill School in or near Bangor, WI. If so, it is still there, to the best of my knowledge.

Your uncle's great-grandfather (David Claude Fauver, b. 1825) and my great-grandfather (Samuel Creg Fauver, b. 1844) were brothers.

My grandmother (Abbie Lasley Fauver, b. 1890) mentions "Uncle Dave" a few times in her biography, and specifically the Fauver Hill School:

"I was a bit impressed, of course; Uncle Dave had had money and had appropriated land for the Fauver Hill School in the Town of Campbell."
