Many Fabrizio Families come from Abruzzi. Several families lived in Cortland, NY, Syracuse, etc.; and many moved to California. We have contacted Fabrizio's in Italy still in Abruzzi area...Vasto, Dogliola, and in Naples, Florence, Bari, etc...all related and may go back many many years. Maybe with some Jewish roots as well.
There is recorded a "Caio Fabrizio", a statesman in early Italian history who is remembered for his wise diplomacy to avert a war. I woul be happy to offer what other information I have about our families. My brother, Raymond was a well known flutist among classical musicians. Al "Corky" Fabrizio is also well know in music for percussion, etc. I am also a musician and have produced a CD of Italian favorite songs played on the mandoin, called "Serenata Italiana." I wanted to share the warm memories of our chidhood in the Italian neighborhood upstate New York growing up with music all around us.
