I have just found this site and read a few messages. I have always been aware that the "Ebanks family" is huge, but this is a surprise. As far as I know - Ebanks was Scottish in origin - so my elders tell me [and they should know!] In Jamaica, the name is very well known in the St Elizabeth region, particularly towards Treasure Beach - throw a stone and guaranteed it will hit a family member. Ebanks also includes - Parchment, Crow, Williams, Dennis... Back here in the UK we are still a large family, especially in south London, although we have migrated to Cambridge, Gloucester and I believe Birmingham. Over in the States I know for sure I have a cousin in Florida, and some in New York. My paternal grandfather was Stephen Ebanks who married Julie - they had 13 children, several of whom are still alive and one is my father, Seaford Ebanks, currently living in the Treasure Beach area. He married Merilda Williams and they have 9 children - all of us still kicking. If anyone wants to get in touch, please do. Diane Notify Administrator about this message?
