Dear Debi:
I found the following marriage in "Marriages of Chatham County, Georgia, Volume I, 1748-1852", Compiled by The Genealogical Committee of Georgia Historical Society, Savannah, Georgia 1993, Page 34: "Savannah, February 21 (1793), Married. Mr. John Dews, to Miss Hatcher Dawson, (GG 2/21/1793, 2:3)". There are a few other marriages of Dewes Family members in this volume index. Thought that the John Dews listing would be helpful to you.
