I'm the great grandson of Lester Dews he was born June 2,1856 in Dewsbury England .He married Sophia Ellis He was a machinest and worked at the Old Rogers Locomotive Works in Paterson N.J.in 1884 He received his appreticeship in England Wakefield museum a Machinist Institute.They had three Children Harry L. Dews - Hannah Dews- Gertrude Dews Belfeild .Harry married Mary Norrie on Sept. 25,1906 He was a fireman in Paterson from 1916-1950 retired in Upper Sadle River N.J.
