Letter
17 Nov 1990
From Carolyn G Smith, Overland Park KS
Dear Donna:
Your name is listed in the Harrison Co IN library under researchers for the DeWeese family.
My 4th great grandfather was Joseph DeWeese (d 1865). His son Thomas DeWeese m. Sarah Lindsey. Thomas was wounded and died soon after in Rome, Ga. Oct. 1864. Their dau. Martha J DeWeese married Adam Krausgrill and moved to Gibson Co IN.
I have a lot of information on Thomas and some on Joseph. If you are from the same family I will send you what I have on them.
Census records say Joseph was born in Delaware and his brother in N C. I haven't been able to find anything about them there yet.
Sincerely, Carolyn G Smith

Is this Joseph, s/o Thomas??
