thanks to two list members who responded to my previous posting I have information from the Reading, MA Death Index which gives Timothy's parents as John Dame and Emma Wadwell. The index verified that the mother was born in MA, North Reading but it had no place of birth for the father, so I am still left with only what is on the census which is Maine. I have looked for a John Dame b. about 1770 in Maine without ant much luck. Does anyone have a John Dame b. in ME with a wife named Emma who moved to Strafford Co., NH about 1800 and of the right age to have a son born that same year?
