I am looking for information on Sarah J. (Jennie?) Dame dob 1865? listed on the 1870 and 1880 Fed Census in Jones Co. GA as daughter of Charles L. and Martha Morris Dame. She was the subject of a custody dispute, a habeas corpus, filed by Martha Ann Williamson in July of 1871 in Jones Co. The child was remanded to the custody of Charles Dame, who died in Jones Co. in 1882. Have been unable to locate any information on Sarah Jennie Dame or Martha Morris Dame after the 1880 census. An older son of the Dames, Andrew J., I believe may have relocated to AL.
