I am researching my wife's ancestry. Charles Richard Dame (b. 1829, maybe 1835, d. in Perry Co, MO in 1920) is her Great-Grandfather through 1st marriage to Anastasia Wilcox. I have information that Charles was born in Virginia and the he was married in Randolph County, Illinois to Anastasia. This is where I lose track of his ancestry. One note says his father was born in VA around 1790. I've seen some mention of a Dame family from the Richmond area that migrated to Illinois and then on to Kansas, but the info is sparse.
Any information would be appreciated and thank you in advance.
