I recently saw a book entitled "Our Pennington Family" by Duane E. Wilson which contains information about John and Elizabeth Oyler Dame as well as some of their ancestors. It also contains a picture with the following information: "John Dame(1785-1866) Xerographic copy of portrait courtesy of Virginia Hayes, Minco, OK from tin-type originally in possession of James R. Ridley, Bridgeport, AL". I would like to correspond with anyone is familiar with this book and/or picture or who is familiar with old pictures from the 1800's. I would like to confirm whether or not the title of this picture is accurate. Thanks.
