Deacon John Dam(e) arrival in America

Hi All! I am in the process of writing a second Dam(e) geneology. I have quite an extensive collection of documentation on the Dam(e) experience in America. However, my information prior to Deacon Dam(e) arriving in America is quite small. It is reported that Deacon Dam(e) arrived at Salem, MA, others indicate Portsmouth, NH. Is there any documentation to support either belief? Is anyone aware of any research that has/is been/being done on the English tree? In my readings here it was said that Dam(e) has been pretty much established back to, I believe Catherine the Great. Is there documentation availabe to support this? Anyway, I will be in Dover, NH in a couple of weeks and would appreciate any bits of information or suggestions you might have.

Regards,

John Alden Dame III
Albuquerque, NM
