John Burrows and Mary/Hannah Culver

I have come across a confusing situation and hope that someone has been there/done that and now has an answer.

New London vitals list the following under Burrows:
John, son Robert, of New London, m. Mary Cullver, dau. Jno., of New London, Dec. 14, 1670
John, son John & Mary, b. Sept. 2, 1671
Mary, dau John & Mary, b. Dec. 14, 1672
Hannah, dau John & Mary, b. Dec. 15, 1674
Margaret, dau John & Mary, b. Oct 5, 1677
Samuel, son Jno & Mary, b. Aug 5, 1679
Robert, son John & Mary, b. Sept. 9, 1681
Abigail, dau Jno. & Mary, b. Aug 10, 1682

This is the same marriage date and the same children assigned to John Burrows and Hannah Culver in both Robert Burrows and Descendants and Colver-Culver Genealogy.

In Robert Burrows and Descendants 1630-1974, Hannah's will is written. In her will she names her "loving sons, John Burrows, Samuel Burrows, Robert Burrows, and Jeremiah Burrows". She goes on to name her "loving son Isaac Burrows, my loving daughter Mary Tuttle, my loving Granson John Burrows son of Isaac, my loving Grandaughter Elizabeth Burrows daughter of Isaac, daughter Margaret Duey, and my daughter Hannah Woodward". This would indicate that these were Hannah's natural children. If so, why do the New London Vitals name them as Mary's children?

Mary Culver's father was Jno. (John or Jonathan) while Hannah's father was Edward. If it wasn't for Mary's father being called Jno. I would think that Mary and Hannah might be the same person.

Has anyone solved this mystery?
