A biography of Boyd Culver, Eureka, MT, is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 849 & 850. Boyd was born, 10 Feb 1874, the son of James C. and Leticia (Lamor) Culver. Boyd was educated in Ohio public schools and graduated from Ohio Northern University, at Ada. After three years of teaching in his home county, he located to Kalispell, MT, in 1897, and was connected with the McIntosh Hardware Company until 1907. In 1917, Boyd married Mrs. E.M. Bradley, widow of Carlin C. Bradley. She was born in Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Carlin of Sioux City, Iowa. Since the marriage, Boyd Culver was head of a mercantile house, the C.C. Bradley Co. of Eureka, MT. He was elected justice of peace, served on the school board, and was alderman and mayor of Eureka. Mrs. Culver had two children by her previous marriage: Carlin Keith Bradley, Muriel Maud Bradley. I am not related. Notify Administrator about this message?
