Attention Culver Family Researchers,
I am a Culver family researcher and I am very interested to know the source of the information posted on Ancestry.com and other Web sites that has Nathaniel Culver and Margaret Burroughs as the parents of John Culver of Somerset (1693-1766).
I have never seen any proof of this, but would very much like to.
I have written to every researcher's email that I can find that has Nathaniel as John's father posted on Ancestry.com.
In total I sent about 50 emails; so far I have received about 15 responses. None of the responders have any evidence that this relationship did in fact exist. Most said that they copied the information from Ancestry.com or some other source.
I have suspected for years that this information was invalid, but want to provide an opportunity for anyone with proof to respond.
If no one does respond, I will again email all those people requesting that they remove this relationship from their trees; and I will post a note to this forum.
For all the advantages provided, a significant problem with Genealogy.com, RootsWeb, World Connect and Ancestry.com is that you cannot get incorrect information removed.
