William Culver (d.1788) of Orwell, Vermont

Trying to mend a broken link. Looking for the paternal ancestors of William Culver of Orwell, Vermont. In the town history he is mentioned as an early settler and his son was Oliver Culver b. 1778 of ROchester, New York fame. Considering Oliver Culver is listed as being born in East Windsor, COnnecticut I can only assume William emmigrated from Connecticut to Vermont. William' wife was Esther Grant, also of East Windsor, Connecticut. Looking to mend this broken chain.
