I have some information on Daniel E Crume. Lets start with Philip Crume, Son of Daniel and Elizabeth Brooks. Philip Married Sarah Withers, one of their children, Daniel Crume, born on January 27, 1758. In Frederick, VA. He married twice. Married Mary Dodson in Virginia. She died in 1801. He then married Hannah Springer in Washington Co. Kentucky, Jan. 12, 1801. She was born June 7, 1769. They had the following children: Nathan Crume born Oct. 25, 1801. Eunice Crume Born, 1803. Squire Springer Crume born 1805. William A. Crume was born 1806. Moses Crume born 1807. William A. Crume is my decendent (I think) He was born in Butler Co. Ohio in 1806. In died March 23, 1855. He married Rebecca Frakes in Decatur Co., Indiana, Nov. 17, 1827. Rebecca was born in Indiana Dec. 14, 1807. Rebecca was the daughter of Joseph Frakes. William and Rebecca has the following children: Mary Elizabeth Crume born June 10, 1831. Martha Ann Crume born June 1833. Sarah Ann Crume born April 14, 1839. William David Crume born Jan. 9, 1850. Sarah Ann Crume. Sarah Crume is the mother of Susannah Crume born October 3, 1856. I'm not sure who her father is. There seems to be conflicting evidence. Sarah Crume married John Dant Aug. 11, 1860 in Decatur Co., Indiana. John was born in Pennsylvania in 1841. Susannah Crume has also been referred to as Savanah Dant. She married Cornelius Marteness in Decatur Co. Indiana October 19, 1877. He was apparently born in 1852 somewhere in Pennsylvania. He died Jan. 13, 1886 im Elmdale, Morrison, Minnesota. He and she were may great grandparents. What I find interesting is Susannah was apparently born out of wedlock. I can't seem to find out who her father is. I've just started this process however. Furthermore, I'm not getting anywhere with the Marteness side of the family. Just thought I would share this information with you.
