Joseph Condon 1837 Ireland; Joseph H Condon 1865 New York

I've just started researching and would appreciate any info on the above person (who was born in Ireland, then moved to Canada, then NY) or his son Joseph born 1865. Think the senior Joseph was married to Ellen, born in Ireland, 1841. They had the following children:

Nora Condon 1860 NY
John Condon 1862 NY
Mary Condon 1864 NY
Joseph Condon 1865 NY [father to my grandmother--married Rose]
Edward Condon 1869 NY

I can't find death certificates on the senior Joseph, but can on his son, Joseph, in MN.
