Looking for any information on the colver family tree

I am Michael Vincent Colver (25) with limited family knowledge, I am son to Vincent Charles Colver ( 43) which is son to a William Charles Colver (?) , I was born in march of 77 with limited information on my family. I was born out of wed lock to a 15 year old mother, Lets just say the Vincent did not lead a good a wholesome life ( in and out of jail…major disappointment for me) I myself am a successful computer engineer with a wife a son looking and trying to locate William Colver my grandfather. The last known where about was in CA in the San fran area that was around 1980. But so far all I have been able to find is Vincent ( now out of jail) to meet ( still in CA San fran area), it was a interesting experience for me just to put it lightly( never meet him till march of 99). So if anybody out there has seen or herd of a William in CA, I would love to hear from him even if he moved.
