My CLEMENT family starts with Philip V. Clement, born in 1808. I have conflicting information stating that he was either born in NY or Devon, England.
Philip CLEMENT married Sarah LUDLUM 24 Feb 1841 in Hempstead, NY. They had at least two children; George (b. 1851)and Nicholas (b. 1858). George married Marietta (Mariette) bef. 1880 and George died in 1884, Mariette died in 1883. There was never a mention of children.
Nicholas CLEMENT married Mary Emma SMITH 2 Nov 1886 in New York. They had at least three children; Jessie (b. 1888, d. 1889), Robert (b. 1891) and Sarah Alice (b. 1902).
Robert CLEMENT married Esther and they had at least three girls and stayed in the Long Island, New York area.
Sarah Alice CLEMENT married Jack ROBINSON (b. 1892). Sarah Alice died in 1959 and Jack remarried to Grace MCISAAC.
I would like to find out if Philip V. CLEMENT had any siblings - as there could be siblings; George, Thomas and Betty if in fact Philip did come from Devon, England. Philip's parents then would have been George CLEMENT and Mary.
As well, I would like to find out more about Robert CLEMENT's family as they stayed in the Long Island area as well - and his girls should be still living.
