Laurent Clement and Louise Morency c. 1740 Canada
Posted by: Pat King Date: December 01, 2001 at 08:27:48
  of 1644

Does anyone out there have any information on Laurent Clement and Louise Morency? They had son Charles who married Marguerite Forcier and had daughter who married Joseph Desmarius.

A Joseph Desmarius married Cecile Dumont and her sister Lisette married ANTOINE CLEMENT. These people were in Manitoba Red River Valley settlement. Lisette was born 1790, Cecile in 1800, to Jean Baptiste Dumont and Josepthe, a full-blooded Sarcee Indian of Pechhe's Peesaw's) band.

Antoine and Lisette Clement's son Basil dit Jaques Marie Clement stated his parents were Charles Clement and a Rose. There was an Alexander Rose in the area, but Antoine Clement and Lisette were married 1826 in St. Louis MO (probably a church formality) and Basil's parents were listed as Antoine and Lisette Clement.

I would appreciate any enlightenment on this.
