I'm looking for family of Marguerite Claus. Her father was John Claus and was said to be a baker for royalty in Alsace Lorraine?and had a wooden leg. He married Susanna Mersch and moved to Paris, France where they had a bakery. They had two children, Marguerite and a son John. Both John and his wife died in their early 40's and family from Luxemburg raised the children. Marguerite married Mathias Hastert and lived in Aurora, Il after coming to USA with their families approx 1866.
