The Chauncey in the 29th Infantry was in Company B. He was from Farmington, WI and enlisted on 8-14-1862. He was discharged for disease on 8-19-1863.

An unassigned man is one who reports for service, but for various reasons, is not immediately assigned to a unit. He probably remained in camp until being assigned.
