157th NY Inf. Gettysburg

My gr,grandfather, George Philo Smith, was in Co. D and wounded in the wrist at Gettysburg and lived to be in his 80's. For several years I've been hoping to hear from anyone who has done any research on the 157th and especially would love to see photos of anyone in the 157th. My family did not keep any letters from George to my regret and I own the only photo of him, taken when he first enlisted. I would be thrilled for any scrap of information that anyone has from any soldiers in the NY 157th at Gettysburg. Can anyone out there help me? I now live in Austin, TX and want to tour Gettysburg Battlefield next spring. Please write 157th NY Inf. Gettysburg in your subject line so I won't delete it accidentally. Thank you.
