My grandfather (grandson to Micajah Woodson) owned a piece of land in Virginia, which he said had been in the family for many generations. It was landlocked, and not worth much, apparently, so he sold it maybe 30 years ago. I'm thinking it may have been part of a larger piece of land, possible the Woodson plantation, where Jefferson send Sally Hemmings'son. Does anyone have any idea where this plantation might have been? I think it was inland from Flowerdew Hundred. Maybe Goochland county? |
