Micajah was also my gg grandfather, although for some reason, I have him married to Sarah T. Wheeler. His parents were Tarleton Woodson and Martha (?) Wheeler - maybe it is Mary and not Martha, there is a ? in my records. You're right, there are a ton of Tarletons, including this Tarleton's father, great grandfather and gg grandfather, whose mother was Judith Tarleton, where the name came from. You should check out the bood "The Woodsons and their Connections". I saw the original, owned my by aunt, but there is a CD version (which I have just ordered). The original only goes to Micajah, but there may be more on the CD. I know Micajah was my ancestor, because my grandfather told us that Micajah was his grandfather. I don't have any information about any other children of Micajah's except Richard Thomas, my great grandfather. He died chopping wood at his home, leaving a widow and several children. I don't know if this is any help, but I hope so. Ann Woodson Laffin |
