"In the name of God Amen, I Allen Woodson Senior of Pittsylvania County being in the 61th year of his age but of sound memory think proper to dispose of what little prosperity it has pleased God to lend me to distribute it in the manner as follows, firt I will that as much of my perishable property should be sold as will pay my just debts and funeral expendics & then I give to my wife Jane Woodson the third part of all my estate as long as she the said Jane Woodson lives a widow but if she said Jane Woodson should marry then to be as law deictates. Item I give to my son William Woodson and to my son Stephen D. Woodson all my lands to be equally divided between them only that Stephen D. Woodson should have the lower part of the land buildings, ectra. Item I give to my son William one bed and furniture. Item I give to my son Stephen D. Woodson one bed and furniture. Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Woodson one bed and furniture. Item I give to my daugther Martha Woodson one bed and furniture.
