I have a lot of Woodsons in my cousin lines that have been difficult to connect. I would like to include them in my family history book. Eg. Charles Woodson m. Mary Pleasants-their dtr. Caroline Matilda m. Thomas Fleming Bates. They had 12 children. His line descends from my ancestors Col Charles Fleming & Judith Tarlton. These were well known families in colonial Virginia into which the Woodsons intermarried numerous times. The Flemings m into the illustrious Randolph family. I have a lot of Woodsons "floating" around, & presume they are related to an original ancestor. Does anyone know a definitive source for Virginia Woodson descent?
