William WIDMAN was born 16 December 1848 near Stuttgart, Wurtemberg. His parents were Caroline and Gottlieb WIDMER who immigrated to Utopia, Clermont County, Ohio. William, one of ten children, moved to St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri, from Ohio in 1869, and married Barbara MENG on 12 January 1873 at St. Joseph. Their grand daughter, Edna B. was born 23 October 1984 and married Norman A. TESCHNER born 25 August 1895. They married before the 1930 Census for St. Joseph, MO.
