As the original coordinator of the Townsend DNA project, I would like to bring to the attention of Townsend researchers the advantages of taking part in the www.familytreedna.com Townsend DNA project. If you are interested in taking part in this project simply send me an email and I will send you a DNA kit. I reccomend that you do the 37 marker test which can show with a 50% probability the most common male ancestor to about 5 generations. I also have web site with tens of thousands of Townsends on it. You can search for example Townsends of England, Australia, Cananada, New Zealand or South Africa.
