I am still attempting to locate information on "my dead end"--the family of Eliza Pennell, born between 1814 and 1817 in Sharpsburg, Maryland. I have always believed her family was originally from France as my mother said the family always referred to her as "the French Lady." She is my ggggrandmother. Eliza moved to Shelby, County, Missouri where she married William Eakle. The Eakle family is also from Maryland.
