Hello, I'm looking for information about Mary Pennel, whom I believe to be my great-great grandmother. In doing family research over the past 20 odd years, we have always come to a dead end at this point, so I'm trying this forum. My great grandfather is Charles Schuyler Hoyt. His DOB is 29 Aug 1871. On his death certificate, his mother's name is listed as Mary Pennel, and his father's name is listed as Charles Hoyt (could be Hayt or Haight). My grandfather always said his father was born in Kalamazoo, MI. Charles Schuyler Hoyt was a coal miner, and moved to West Virginia where he married Sarah Maude Pase on 29 March 1897. To my knowledge, Charles had no brothers or sisters. I'm sorry that I don't have more information or "clues" for you. Any information you might have is greatly appreciated. Paul Bleadow |
