Doralus V. Meade Harbin, 86, Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on Sandy Ridge, VA, and was of the Christian faith. She had been a resident of Kingsport for the past 64 years. She had worked for Tennessee Eastman Company. She left Eastman to become a homemaker. She attended vocational school in Manassas, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. Meade and Eliza Meade; three brothers, Sylvan, Millard and William Meade; and one sister, Opal Todd. Surviving are her husband, Harold Harbin, of the home; one son, Dale Harbin, of Kingsport, TN, one grandson, Matthew Harbin, of Oxnard, CA; one sister, Cora Carico, of Sandusky, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2008, in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Stout officiating. Pallbearers will be Dale Harbin, Kenneth Coleman, Bruce Coleman and Harold Coleman. A committal service will follow in Oak Hill Mausoleum IV at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations. http://www.oakhillmemorialpark.com
