I have assumed that my gt gt gt gt gt grandmother Margaret Mackie who married Alexander Chillas 9th May 1771 Drumoak was the one born 1743 Drumoak to Robert Mackie and Isobel Malcolm. I have been waiting for the will of Robert Mackie in Upper Park of Drum to become available on Scottish Documents to see if sheds any light on the Mackies of Drumoak. Alexander Chillas was born 1747 Mains of Little Endovie, Alford. His first recorded child to Margaret Mackie was Robert Chillas bap 1772 Upper Park. I am descended from Robert’s brother Alexander Chillas bap 1777 from Quhobs, Drumoak. Alexander died 14th Dec 1866, Candyglerach, Drumoak. I’d be interested to know if you have come across any connection to this family in your research. Roy
